Plot: After having his dream rudely interrupted by ambient noise, Mickey turns the cacophony into a symphony.

Short Stuff
Mickey has had some ramshackle housing in the past, but this decrepit old apartment has to be the ramshackliest, right?

With its pink brick, blue turrets, and gold accents, Minnie castle cuts a similar figure to Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.

Mickey and Minnie’s medieval garb is taken from 1938’s classic short, The Brave Little Tailor.

The song that Mickey sings to Minnie is “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” from Cinderella (1950).

This is the Big Bad Wolf’s second appearance after his Season Three debut in Sock Burglar.

Aside from Mickey’s state of life and living, the short presents an interesting premise with a clever and unpredictable solution. This is also an excellent example of how to incorporate background characters into the plot instead of just using them as literal space fillers like we saw in The Birthday Song.
