Mickey Mouse Short: Shifting Gears

Season 3, Episode 5: “Shifting Gears” 9/19/15
Starring: Mickey Mouse 
Co-starring: Minnie Mouse
Setting: Mickey’s house/the beach
 
Plot: Much to the chagrin of his car, Mickey wants to hit the beach and go surfing.

Short Stuff:
 
Pluto’s dog bowl makes an appearance in Mickey’s garage but no Pluto.  What gives???
 
Apparently, cars have a “sweet tooth” for nut ‘n bolt pie.
 
Mickey goes on to violate his car as he throws his surfboard into its unsuspecting trunk.
 
The crossdressing continues as Mickey dons Minnie’s skirt and eyelashes.
 
Dazed and confused from getting slammed in the face by his surfboard, Mickey mistakes his car for Walt (presumably Disney).
 
Even with how poorly Mickey has been treating his car, it still puts Mickey’s health first as he attempts to rush the injured mouse to the hospital.

Final Grade: C+
 
We are five episodes in now and it’s been a Mickey-and-Minnie-a-thon save for an appearance by Goofy and Pete in Wish Upon a Coin.  Still no Donald and no Pluto…  I don’t want to be a #HATER but Season 3 is lacking thus far.  We’ve had two GREAT episodes and three duds.  I’m confident in better things to come on the horizon but we’re in a bit of a slump.
