Mickey Mouse Short: Movie Time

Plot: Mickey gets caught in a storm while picking up snacks for “Movie Time” with Minnie.

Short Stuff:
 
That opening beach shot looks a lot like South Beach in Miami. 
 
The framed picture on Minnie’s wall of a windmill could either be a call back to Clogged or foreshadowing for the winds to come!
 
That poor bunny LITERALLY gets caught with his pants around his ankles while sitting on the toilet.
 
Was that a Batman reference when Mickey holds out the palms like wings and the dramatic musical score hits?

Final Grade: C+
 
This one didn’t do much for me.  Granted, it had a tough act to follow after the last two shorts but this one never aspired to be more than just a straight forward, slapsticky cartoon.  The only interesting thing about it is that it’s set in Miami but we never get anything more than that opening shot of the beach.  I hate to say it but episodes like this just feel like filler.  Another stock “Mickey saves Minnie” short… *yawn.*
