This site isn't only about our point of views.  We love seeing how other people have been inspired by Disney!  So when we feel like it, we will feature someone that displays their unique and/or imaginative work.  This week, we bring you our first featured artist: Jeffrey Huinac Garcia!
Tell Us Little About Yourself

My name is Jeffrey Huinac Garcia.
I got started in art in high school. I took two years of art. I actually learned more art history than anything, so on my free time, I watched tutorials on youtube.  It helped me a lot, and it still does. As far as training goes, I carry a sketchbook with me at all times and it helps me perfect my drawings.

Why did you choose to do your artist rendition of Alice in Wonderland?

Choosing Alice in Wonderland is something I have been wanting to do for a long time simply because when I hear Alice in Wonderland my imagination explodes with ideas and a color theme comes to mind. Seeing that this story is about taking the imagination beyond its wildest dreams, color manipulation comes to mind, but nothing has really pushed me into that direction till recently.  I took the opportunity to finally get to work on this piece.

What materials were used to create this piece?

This piece was created with gouache and acrylic on a 14x18 canvas board

What is your favorite art medium and why?

Painting. I just like to manipulate colors and just mash up the basics and get something crazy out of it .

What is your favorite Disney movie and why?

Toy Story. I guess because, as a little kid, I really wanted my toys to come to life haha.

Where can fans of your art reach you and your work?

I don’t have any work up on any site, not because I don’t want to, but it just hasn’t occured to me until now. Once I get the time to photograph the pieces, I’ll begin to post them on my tumblr.
