In what sounds like an extension of the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Fantasyland, Downtown Disney will be opening Elsa & Anna's Boutique! Studio Disney 365 will be transformed in September 2014 into the new attraction, which is sure to offer all kinds of new Frozen merchandise. So smart to separate it from the Fantasyland shop because that store is already packed as it is! Above is the artwork for the logo of the shop (see official post on the Disneyland blog).
I'm not too familiar with Studio Disney 365, but I do know their makeovers have catered to older ages (tweens and younger), where the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is designed more for the younger kids. Disney annual passholders have also been granted discounts at this location, but no word if this will be the case for the new boutique yet. One thing is for sure: make a reservation! The place is sure to get packed, especially with the royal treatment.
Just for fun, I thought I'd have a little fun imagining what would be offered for the newest queens & princesses out there.
There is some serious styling for both sisters in this department! First off, we have fancy, shmancy Coronation day hair. Then there's ultimate snow day. All hairstyles are sure to be offered, right?
The white hair is a necessity, especially with the Elsas. Adding the detail of the small white streak for the Annas would be a great touch.
According to the Studio Disney 365 page, boys will get in on the fun too! An Olaf-inspired hairstyle, featuring “snow” glitter hair gel and a choice of Olaf t-shirt.
Hmm, wonder if Kristoff hair will be available...you know, with snow all over it? (No good? Come on!)
Make-up seems pretty standard at makeovers. This will especially come to play with the Elsas of the world. She has the deep purple eyeshadow and pink blush happening, so we've got to have that. Anna, on the other hand, has a much younger, fresher look, so keeping it natural would be key. However, adding freckles to all the little Annas would be fun!
Elsa's snow dress, Anna's Coronation dress, and Anna's snow gear have already been incredibly popular with young girls. In fact, most Disney stores sell out (they aren't even available at Disneystore.com at the moment). Granted, there are tons of retailers (Target, Amazon, and even Etsy shops) that offer different versions of the dresses, but it would be safe to assume that these dresses and accessories will be offered.
I'm not surprised that Elsa's coronation dress isn't offered by the Disney store. It isn't exactly a great moment in time for the character, so why would you want that specific dress? However, it's still a great-looking gown and probably the most regal one in the whole film. If anything, offer the cape!
You know what I would love to see? The dresses worn by young Elsa and Anna, especially Elsa's blue coats. Those are gorgeous and would be perfect for winter!
Sidenote: Seems pretty unfair that Elsa had to be bundled up all the time while Anna is running around in summer dresses. It's not like she was freezing; the cold never bothered her anyway.
We know Olaf shirts will be offered, but that's not really in the spirit of a "makeover". I highly doubt any Kristoff costumes will be offered, but if they are, I'm all over it! As a mother of two boys, I'm living vicariously through my friends that have daughters right now. But if there is snow gear inspired by this ice salesman, I'm buying two and totally forcing my 6-year old to wear it (the newborn won't even know what's happening).
