I had a lot of fun working on Cinderella. The above is part of my digital series "Doodled Disney Princesses". We see Cinderella here, taking a peek under her ballgown, noticing the loss of her glass slipper. The second piece is titled, "Yes, Stepmother". I love that Cindy has a sense of humor and subtle sarcasm throughout the film. My favorite is when she says she's going to "interrupt the (pause to smile) music lesson", in reference to the awful talents of her stepsisters. If anyone is going to have an optimistic view on life when they are forced into servitude, as she was, a little attitude is bound to come with it. The third is a bird's eye view of Cindy singing, "Sing Sweet Nightingale". The moment when you really she how pure and beautiful Cinderella is compared to the family she serves. Her voice is so soft and hopeful while cleaning the floors they walk on. Sing Sweet Nightingale indeed. And lastly, here's Gus Gus as the star of the week! He's the banner of our blog while we cover Cinderella. I felt he was the obvious choice since he leads the pack as the favorite character in this film. On his tail, he holds the pearls that help dress Cinderella for the ball (before they are torn off by a wicked stepsister, of course).
